24th STreet Theatre has an outstanding opportunity for a bilingual (Spanish/English) arts administrator.  As a strategic community builder you will help 24th STreet fully serve its Latino community.  24th Street Theatre is hiring a Theatre Operations Administrator to be the face of the organization as first contact with community members. The TOA administrates our arts education programs and community programs and provides general administrative support for day to day operations. This is a full-time hourly position, with full health care benefits, two weeks paid vacation, and a great creative familial working environment.
 
24th STreet Theatre is an award-winning, internationally renowned arts organization founded in 1997.  24th STreet is a leader in Arts Education offering free after school programs to 100 inner-city kids weekly and field trips for 10,000 students annually.  24th STreet’s critically acclaimed shows tour internationally and community engagement is one of our guiding principles. 
 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
  • Administrate community programs such as Teatro Del Pueblo and our annual Dia de los Muertos event 
  • Administrate our school field trip program and After ‘Cool program
  • Serve as a liaison between students, staff and community members 
  • Create communications that go out to community members, parents, etc.
  • Market and promote upcoming 24th Street Theatre events to community members 
  • Work with all other staffers to serve as the hub of the organization to ensure efficient overall operations


SKILLS REQUIRED:
  • Must be Bi-lingual (English & Spanish) and be able to write, read, and speak fluently in both languages.
  • Strong public speaking, communication and writing skills
  • Confident at communicating and creating connections with our majority Latino constituency
  • Excellent Time management skills - able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong computer skills- Microsoft Office suite, CRM database experience, graphic design software, internet, and social media platforms
  • Must have a car and valid CA driver’s license
 
BA in Arts Administration or 2 years previous arts administration experience preferred and/or community organizing experience.
