Pittsburgh CLO is a not-for-profit cultural organization dedicated to the preservation, creation and promotion of the American musical theater art form, the furnishing of arts education and providing outreach and meaningful community service opportunities in Western Pennsylvania and throughout the United States.

The Pittsburgh CLO, hailed as one of the nation’s premier regional theaters, is seeking a creative, sales oriented, individual to serve as the Marketing Coordinator.  As a member of the Marketing team, the successful candidate will be responsible for the CLO’s Social Media accounts, e-blasts, calendars, and signage.  If you have a strong passion for the arts, we want to hear from you! 

What you’ll do: 

  • Primary monitor of CLO Social Media accounts; responsible for curating, creating, and posting content, monitoring and responding to messages, and engaging with the CLO audience
  • Execute social media engagement opportunities, such as social media stations at productions
  • Work with internal departments and external sources to schedule talent and/or obtain all source material for video edits, print projects, and promotional materials
  • Research logo and photos for upcoming productions; obtain photographs and necessary permissions
  • Monitor company email addresses
  • Create and distribute regular e-blasts; act as responsible party for website updates and regular audit of public information
  • Ensure city, community and state visitor calendars are updated with CLO events and shows
  • Maintain an accurate contact list for all surrounding and relevant national media outlets
  • Oversee the creation, printing and distribution of all signage including all Summer Season, Cabaret, AMCC, district signage, and advertising
  • Represent CLO at vendor booths for external festivals and Community Engagement projects, such as the Children’s Festival, Arts Festival, VIP Princess Party, and Reading Extravaganza
  • Work with Production Liaison and Marketing Manager to coordinate all media activity for cast and crew
  • Assist in writing and sending of press releases, photos from shows, and publicity material as needed
  • Coordinate photo shoots, review and select photos for web pages, publications & ads
  • Work with Sales & Merchandise Coordinator to source promotional materials
  • Send order confirmations and coordinate timeline with performers for streaming or video on demand programs
  • Oversee content curation and creation for the CLO Annual Report and work with Graphic Designer on layout, publication and printing
  • Administer the creation and tabulation of all audience surveys
  • Assist with administrative duties for The Jimmy Awards, such as compiling judges’ binders, score sheets, participant resumes and resizing headshots
  • Assist with content creation including videos, graphics, press releases, and additional projects as needed
  • Proofread, write, and create verbiage for Social Media
  • Responsible for the monthly calendar for Development, the Academy, Main Office, and Production
  • Research and pull together all playbills
  • Responsible for Education Department marketing materials
  • Manage and create an archival of CLO marketing materials
